The Pop Up Shop:

The Pop Up Shop is run weekly for one hour and is held in the sports hall at the back of New Life Church,9,Shirehill,Saffron Walden,CB11 3AQ.

You arrive with a bag(or 2)to carry home 20 items of dry food chosen by you. The food is stored on shelves. We give away fresh eggs, jacket potatoes, long life milk and part cooked bread and wraps. Each person can choose what they need and people come in to the shop one at a time.

There is a large variety of tinned meat, fish, vegetables, fruit and soup as well as packets and jars. There is great variety. Sometimes there are toiletries too.

Eligibility : To qualify for use of The Pop Up Shop and Bags of Hope you should be receiving Universal Credit, PIP, Free School Meals, Disability Benefit, Housing Benefit. Forms are available and you should complete the relevant form to be eligible to receive food.

Refugees are welcomed.

Bags of Hope:

Bags of Hope happens three times a year. This is when individuals/families receive 3/4 bags of food before Christmas, Easter and at the end of August.

Mostly these bags are collected from the Hub at the back of the church unless someone is housebound or has some problem about getting themselves to The Hub.
